Hey Ken
I Bought this set of SV650 full fairings about a year ago and just finally finished putting it together so i thought i would send you some pics. Assembly was pretty painless although I ran into a couple of snags along the way mostly concerning with fit and finish. The Dremel became my best friend. It took about 2 months a couple dozen trips to the local hardware store, but i finally got it put together. I would highly recommend using rubber plumbing washers under the bolts that connect the upper to the lower fairing. They protect the paint and look pretty cool as well. The only real problem I had was with burn through on the lower from the exhaust. I am running a full Wyleco exhaust and it hangs pretty low I ended up having to cut it out but I think it still looks pretty good. Well I wont waste anymore of your time but it would be cool to see some of my pics on your site. Thanks a lot for the amazing product.

Hi Ken!
I got very pleased with the result. Even though I had a lot of problems getting the fairings over seas,
which included a container, a ship and Panama then Sweden, I now have the fairings on the bike.
I recommend all buyers to get the fairings cut out by Ken. Thanks a lot!

Got my bike all painted and put together. It turned out really well. here are some pictures of the process and the finished product. I had a few things that I figured out that would be great advice for a new customer. To use speed nuts aka slip nuts on the lower fairings to get them together and they are used commonly on cars so getting them at the local auto store is easy, also any screws or bolts one may need Home Depot or Lowes, they work well and are really cheap. Also an undertail really completes the clean look. I don't have much aftermarket parts but here are my specs, SV650S, scorpion exhaust, and a Hotbodies undertail.

Howdy, I just thought you might be interested in putting pics of my SV650s up on your site. It's outfitted with the KG-CYCLES fiberglass body, home-made graphics, Ohlins suspension, two brothers exhaust, and various engine mods. This is actually my second body kit from KG-cycles.. my bike used to be blue and had a blue body, but i recently wrecked it and decided to re-build with a brand new KG body done in a yellow corona scheme.
Thanks!

I finally got the fairing installed and took some pics. Still need to mount  the front signals and maybe get some Suzuki decals.       The bike is a 2001 SV650S and the mods are as listed:
KG cycles full fairing - Yoshimura full race exhaust w/ carbon fiber can
Zero Gravity smoke double bubble wind screen - rejetted carbs
Lockhart Phillips flush turn signals - 2 Wheel Junkie undertail - One Second Faster adjustable rear sets - Ohlins rear shock  Progressive fork springs - Race-Tech Cartridge Emulators - 20wt fork oil

Thanks, Jeremy Roemen

A couple months ago I bought a set of your fairings with the solo tail.  I have been working on them for a while along with the rest of the bike.  It's not 100% done but I am moving soon and the project is put on hold until I am finished moving.  Anyways, I figured I would send you some current pictures to show you how your fairings look on my bike.  Overall I am really pleased with how they fit on the bike and their overall look.  I made a few brackets to mount the fairings so I did not use your solid cross brace.  I made 2 front brackets to mount on the radiator brace, and I also made 2 brackets for the rear of the fairings that the stock fairings used.  Also, for the tail, I just made 2 simple brackets that mounted on the aft of the subframe.  When I get everything 100% finished I'll send you some more pictures.  Thanks again for making a great product and here are the pictures:

Hey

Hey Ken,  I am almost done. I have to put front brake lines on, blinkers and mirrors. Other than that I am done. Here is a semi done picture. Thanks for everything. I will send over a set when I am done this weekend. I have the parts just have to put them on now!!. I have to put the mirrors, front brake lines and front blinkers on and I am done. I will finish this coming Saturday and I will  send you finalized pics over the weekend or Monday. I did a complete SV to SVS conversion. I wired an SVS gauge panel into the SV main harness that is fully function. I kept my bars and did not go to clip-ons. I did a home made undertail kit, put in a 2005 Kawasaki 636 rear shock, progressive front springs with 20 wt oil, Fiamm dual horn set up. The bike is BMW Sapphire Black with no decals.        Thanks again ken for a great product.

hey Ken, just got done (finally) with installing and painting your fairing on my 2001 SVS, here are some pics it took a little work, fitting it on the bike and trying to cut holes for the frame sliders at the same time wasn't easy, and I had some trouble making the mirror brackets like the tip on your site, but that's just because I am not metallically inclined...anyway, this is the finished product right after the new paint job, I love it. I just cant wait to get some Suzuki decals to add on...
thanks again, love the fairing!

This is my 2001 SV 650.it started out as a naked model so I had to do the SVS conversion first, which ended up being a lot more than I thought it would be, but it was worth it. It has a Two Bros. full ex system, k&n filter with modified air box, the carbs are rejetted, Bridgestone Battlax tires, sbs brake pads. RK gold 520 chain with lower geared vortex sprockets (redlined in 6th is 140mph,but it gets there quick) I also run all elf fluids (oil, fork oil, brake fluid etc....) I painted this bike and applied the vinyl myself and was impressed with the fitment of the fairing and over all quality. I also included the only before picture I have of the bike with two others I've restored, my wife's 93' Yamaha Seca ll 600 and my brothers 87' Kawasaki EX 500.
p.s. If anyone has questions about the SV to SVS conversion I'd be glad to answer.
thanks again  Johnny Moss   Ward, Ark  ravenexi@yahoo.com

Mods, etc. to my 2001 SV650:  - Honda F3 fork internals  - SS brake lines
- Jet kit, de-snorkel mod   - Custom understail    - Kimpex grip heaters
- Yosh RS-3 SS Exhaust  - GSXR rear shock (not shown in pictures)
- GSXR rear-sets (not shown in pictures)- K-G Cycles Full Fairing Kit

For the stickers, I used the template on your website with the SV650R decal. The Suzuki decals are just arial font. For mounting I used the existing factory bolt locations for the upper and I had to build a few aluminum brackets to make sure that the lower mounted properly. I did NOT have to make a cut-out for my exhaust as I wanted the lower to remain closed. I wrapped the exhaust in “header-pipe wrap” and have not had any problem with burn-thru. The paint was color matched by a local paint-shop and is two-part color / clear.
Anyway, thanks for a great product. Let me know if you have any questions,

It is a street legal track bike, not a pure race bike.  Just to keep it legal and safe on the street, I mounted a small headlight on the chin (Cheap but effective Wal-Mart item), GSXR-1K style integrated blinkers/mirrors from Lockhart Phillips (these will eliminate a couple of steps for track day prep and also they look pretty trick IMO), and started out as a naked.... notice the Suburban Machinery Type-1 bars and the instruments, which I took off of the bars and mounted to the fairing stay with some aluminum brackets that I made.  Also used the tip from your site to fab some brackets for the windscreen.  Also, I just installed a 520 chain conversion 47/15 (two teeth up in the rear from stock) don't know if you can see the hard anodized black sprocket from Sprocket Specialists.  As always, it's a work in progress.... I'll keep you updated on any more changes.  Right now it's almost 50 here in ATL area and I can't wait to ride. Also included a before picture when it was nekkid. FYI, you may want to include on your site somewhere for guys who are converting naked bikes gen-1 SV650.... That Suburban Machinery Type-1 Handlebars DO clear the fairing with the stock brake reservoir. You don't necessarily have to go with clip-ons. I am sticking with the bars because I like the riding position and they look trick!

Ken; I wrote back and asked Rudy about the fastener on the side of the fairing

They are Dzues fasteners, they have a website, and I think most race shops carry them. Dzues makes many different fasteners, I'm not sure exactly what these ones are called. I got these at MotoBritalia in Alpharetta Ga.   http://www.motobritalia.com/index.php

My SV 650 has a yoshi slip-on, Sunriser raised clip-ons, a homemade aluminum fender eliminator with flush-mount signals, Dunlop D208 180 section rear tire, and Ken Glenn's bodywork. The bodywork is simple to install for those with some mechanical skill. With a little bit of aluminum sheet metal, I made upper windshield brackets that attach to the mirror mounts. The stock ones are molded into the plastic bodywork. I drilled and tapped the supplied fairing bracket so that I could use the stock fairing bolts and grommets to mount the bodywork. I then attached the lower to the upper using 1/4" nylon bolts and wing nuts. For the bottom rear mount, I used a longer bolt and 3/4" spacer instead of stacking up washers for the needed clearance. Heat shielding pipe tape is a must inside the fairing near the manifold to prevent burns in the bodywork.

My name is Andy Bratt. I purchased the full fairing kit and finally for some pictures. I love it and have told numerous people about you. I am getting graphics, I will send pics when I get them on.

KGCycles full fairing kit.   Front blinkers are 3 flush mounted LED's.   Rear blinkers are in the intergraded tail light.    Pimpbike.com Undertail that moves the break light.   Dunlup 207 front and 220 rear tire.   Header wrap.    SV performance grips.   I have installed everything on my own, Fairing is very easy to mount and looks great.

My bike started as a nekkid and I wanted a windshield, but I could not find one I liked so I chose the full fairing instead. Beyond the obvious of your fairing I have a Micron full system, reworked and re sprung front forks and rear gsxr 750 shock by aftershocks, and a jet kit. The fairing install was pretty straight forward and the only recommendation I have for anyone is do not rush!!! I also had to cut the lower to accommodate the exhaust. I gave the bodywork to the painter with a pic of my leathers and that is what I got back. I simply told him to have fun and I would see the finished product when complete. Again, thanks for the great product and I am looking into getting the race bodywork from you within a year or so.
Thanks again

Here are some photos of my SV with full fairing. It is a converted naked model that I turned into an "S" model. it was very easy to install, just a little time consuming, because I had to make a lot of my own brackets. Its just semi-flat black right now. I plan on tearing it apart next winter and painting all of the bodywork white and the wheels and frame powder coated black. In some photos, the bodywork isn't quite lined up, but with a little more trimming, I finally got it. Thanks for the great deal on the fairings.

I finally completed my bike. It is a 01 SV650 that started out as a naked. Now it is completely converted to a full body “S” with the help of your fairings. Installation was pretty easy and I cut the lights myself with a Dremel and a grinding bit.

Here's some decent pictures, kind of small, but this is what it's lookin like right now. When I get home, and get it all finished, I'll be sending more pictures to update everything and let ya know how it turned out. Your the expert, let me know what you think? The pictures don't have the cowl and hugger installed. It started out as a yellow 2002 naked SV 1988.  GM black cherry paint, put together with standard 1/4 inch screws and wing nuts. Custom fabricated fairing braces. Rewired front end for SVS gauges, and complete SVS triple and clip-ons.
